Motorcycle World Tour, Episode 21 - Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington D.C., New York

on 2017-07-26
The Appalachian Mountains start already in northern Georgia. This nice low mountain range offered us again pure riding fun. Therefore we whooshed through Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia on endless curvy roads.
Right before we enjoyed the Smokey Mountain National Park we survived the Tail of the Dragon without any damage. For days we rode on mountain crests on the dreamy Blue Ridge Parkway and the directly following Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park until we arrived in Washington D.C..
It has been a paradise of corners in an unique spring mountain scenery.
After so much riding we of course had to visit the most important sights of Washington: the White House, the Lincoln Memorial and the Arlington national cemetery.
The same a little bit later in New York City with its one of a kind skyline, the Time Square and the Statue of Liberty.
We were deeply impressed!

on 2017-06-07
Our journey through the south of the United States continues. As we travel through New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana to Florida you can experience the change in nature and people with us.

Even without riding on the sand we still enjoyed the view of White Sands National Monument in New Mexico. After being surprised by the beautiful river walk in San Antonio we decided to catch up on some history by visiting the famous Fort Alamo and the NASA space centre in Houston. This is as important to us as experiencing local nightlife and what city would be better for that then New Orleans.

Finally we meet up with Bastis girlfriend Olga and they get to see and enjoy Disney World in Orlando.

After an amazing Arches National park and the infamous backdrop of Monument Valley, we managed to meet up with our friends from Vegas in Arizona.

The views in this region were breathtaking and we enjoyed ourselves very much. Taking a Jeep offroad was a new experience for us and we have to admit that sometimes not worrying about falling over is a lot of fun.

After a snowy path with harsh weather conditions we spent a day in Santa Fe where we visited Meow Wolf. We hope you get inspired by our latest video and if you like it please subscribe!

Motorcycle World Trip, Episode 15 - USA - California to Nevada

on 2017-03-12
We have crossed the Atlantic and now we found ourselves in the United States of America. After a quick sightseeing tour in Los Angeles we soon headed out towards Lake Isabella and Death Valley.

We stopped at Rawhyde Adventures and thanks to Jim Hyde found some beautiful places along our path towards Las Vegas.

Getting stuck on a snowy Mountain close to Lake Isabella was an adventure in itself but the views in Death valley, especially in Saline Valley and in Titus canyon left us in awe.

After all this incredible countryside we enjoyed the craziness of Las Vegas. We got all maintenance done largely thanks to the big help of Mike from Irish Mike's Performance and his wife Heather! If you need any help with your bike near Las Vegas we can advise you to look them up at https://www.facebook.com/Irish-Mikes-Performance-964492173567610/ !

Thanks for this warm welcome to the US.

The last two countries of our adventure through south east Asia were Malaysia and Singapore. Join us on our travel and experience the most remarkable views and sights of these friendly and open minded countries.

In Kuala Lumpur we visited the famous Petronas Towers, enjoyed the remarkable view from the Menara KL tower and had a look at the Batu caves. Further we were amazed about the countryside in the North East of Malaysia.

Singapore had also a lot of sights in store for us. First of the impressive Marina Bay Sands hotel with its infinity pool on top. Lots of large malls and a city standard which we have not seen anywhere else in Asia.

In the end we show how we prepared to bikes for shipment. The bikes are now on their way to North America and we are looking forward to the adventures that await.

Thank you Asia, it was a pleasure exploring each and every country.

Motorcycle World Tour, Episode 13 - Thailand

on 2017-01-29
We had a lot of expectations for our first time in Thailand. We planned to spend some time on the beautiful beaches of south Thailand and further we expected to meet some friends from back home there as well.
First we were finally able to service our bikes again since big bikes are quite common in Thailand. We were invited to join RS Superbike on a trip from Bangkok to the Sinakharin Sea in Kanchanaburi. This showed us a rather tourist free side of Thailand.
Next we met up with Bianca and Susi on Koh Phangan. For new year we met with Daniel, Olga, Paola, Teresa, Ulli and Werner on Koh Samui.
Soon we were caught up in what turned out to be one of the heaviest floods the south of Thailand has experienced in recent times.
Basti managed to leave the island a day early and therefore made it out quite OK. Soon the weather caught up with him and he experienced a ferry ride he will not soon forget.
Fabi and Denis had already worse luck getting of Koh Samui but together they managed to get out of the worst areas.
After splitting up Basti went with Olga and Paola to the famous Railay beach near Krabi. On their way to the Princess Lagoon they gathered a wonderful climbing experience. At the end they were rewarded with a breathtaking lagoon.
After that they made their way to the 4 islands for a bit of snorkeling and the extraordinary Morakot Cave on Ko Muk.
Fabi explored meanwhile the Chiang Mai region in the north of Thailand. A place especially beautiful for riding motorcycles.

Sadly Thailand has made it a lot harder for Overlanders to travel through their beautiful country. From December 23rd 2016 it had become a necessity to travel with a guide.
We may have been one of the last foreigners to have riding through this diverse country all on their own.

Motorcycle World Tour, Episode 12 - Cambodia and Vietnam

on 2016-12-03
After our adventures in Laos we were eager to see more of south east Asia. Angkor Wat was an unreal sight for us at first. The sheer size of the entire complex is stunning.

Just when we thought things could not get more spectacular we stayed at Koh Rong Sanloem an incredible beautiful island in the south of Sihanoukville. The beach is glorious and we had the best time at the so called Lazy Beach.

Vietnam was also a very special time for us because we were afraid it would not be possible on big bikes to cross the border. We hope you can enjoy our short collection of the most remarkable places and experiences we had.
